Alison Crosby – Lighting Designer – Steel Magnolias, Gaslight

Alison is a theatre artist originally from Unama’ki / Cape Breton and currently based in Kjipuktuk / Halifax. She’s thrilled to be a part of Watermark’s season this summer! Alison has a Theatre Studies degree from Mount Allison University and was the first RBC Chrysalis Participant for lighting design at Neptune Theatre, assisting for their productions of Lo (Or Dear Mr. Wells) and The Color Purple. Other lighting design credits include: Dayboil (Ship’s Company Theatre), Urn (TODOS Productions), Lauchie Liza & Rory, Myth of the Ostrich (Theatre Baddeck), YAGA, House, John & Jen (Highland Arts Theatre), Essay, USSR, Mexico City, The Little Years, Joyride, The Woodcutter, Peter Fechter: 59 Minutes, Bone Cage (Matchstick Theatre), The Realistic Joneses (KAZAN Co-op), Harmonia (Painted Dance Co.), Synced Systems, Don’t Wake the Lions, Strike Tone (Votive Dance). Upcoming, Alison will be working on Downed Hearts at Ship’s Company Theatre.
