Elle a fait ses \u00e9tudes \u00e0 la LAMDA en Angleterre. D\u00e8s son retour aux Maritimes en 1990, elle s\u2019est \u00e9tablie \u00e0 Halifax et a collabor\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tablissement du LunaSea Theatre, o\u00f9 elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 metteuse en sc\u00e8ne, actrice et\/ou r\u00e9alisatrice dans 20 pi\u00e8ces. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00cele, Martha a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 <em>Fascinating Ladies<\/em> chez Young at Heart, ainsi que <em>Anne and Gilbert, the Musical<\/em> aux th\u00e9\u00e2tres Harbourfront et The Guild, et enfin au Centre national des Arts. Ailleurs, Martha a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 <em>Half Cracked<\/em> (Neptune\/EFT et Ship\u2019s Company), <em>Salt Water Moon<\/em> (Neptune\/EFT), <em>Donahue Sisters, Leaving Wonderland, Girl in the Goldfish Bowl, Woman <\/em>et<em> Scarecrow<\/em> (LunaSea), <em>Shakespeare on Tria<\/em>l (Off the Leash) et <em>The Pirates of Penzance (<\/em>Neptune YPCo.). Martha a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e laur\u00e9ate de nombreux prix, dont le Prix Merritt de la meilleure actrice pour <em>Ghosts<\/em> chez LunaSea, le prix de m\u00e9rite th\u00e9\u00e2tral du maire de la MRH, le Prix The Coast\u2019s Best de la meilleure actrice au th\u00e9\u00e2tre, une candidature au prix du meilleur r\u00f4le de soutien de l\u2019ACTRA Maritimes pour le long m\u00e9trage <em>Roaming<\/em>, et 14 candidatures au Prix Merritt dans les cat\u00e9gories de prestation, de direction et de r\u00e9alisation, plus r\u00e9cemment pour meilleure prestation dans <em>The December Man<\/em> en 2021.
