Lighting Designer for Dial M For Murder and A Moon For The Misbegotten
Renée has had the opportunity to light shows across Canada and internationally. Recent productions include The Little Mermaid (Globe Theatre), Colours in the Storm (The Grand Theatre), Once (Neptune Theatre) and the world premiere of the opera Prince of Players (Houston Grand Opera). Other theatre designs include Wizard of Oz, Shrek (The Grand Theatre); Rexy, Mary Poppins, West Side Story (Neptune Theatre); A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, The Ladies Foursome (Globe Theatre). Opera designs include Gianni Schicchi, Trouble in Tahiti and Barber of Seville (Rice University) as well as several shows with Canadian Opera Company, Opera Ontario and Houston Grand. Renée spent ten seasons at Charlottetown Festival where she lit Anne of Green Gables, Canada Rocks, Evangeline and many others. Touring productions have taken her to Hawaii, Venezuala, Japan and many US destinations.
She was awarded the Houston Press Theatre Award for her design of The Whipping Man at Stages Repertory Theatre. She is a member of Associated Designers of Canada.
