Michel Bourque has worked in the arts and cultural sector throughout his career. At Scholastic Canada, he was Children’s Book Editor and Marketing Manager. As Program Analyst with the Canadian Television Fund, he assessed funding requests for television and feature film projects. At Canadian Heritage, he guided the development of a series of cultural policies. As Trade Commissioner, Arts and Cultural Industries, at the Canadian Embassy in France, he supported Canadian organizations exporting in Europe. Michel, who first joined the Watermark Theatre as member of the Marketing Committee, has also served on the boards of the Charlottetown Film Society and the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean. He has a B.A in Translation from the Université de Moncton and is also a writer and literary translator. His most recent books—Meet Me at Green Gables and Rideau rouge et pignons verts—are set in the world of theatre.
